An integrated approach to the management of all neurovascular conditions is provided by regular multidisciplinary team meetings with the Interventional Neuroradiologists to enable comprehensive patient care. The endovascular management of intracranial aneurysms or pre-operative embolisation of AVM's is actively promoted.
A close liaison with both the Radiation and Medical Oncologists ensures a multidisciplinary team approach to the treatment of brain tumours.
If the patient is not a surgical candidate in the first instance a referral to a Pain Specialist for consideration of less invasive procedures eg Facet Joint Injections, Caudal Epidural, Radiofrequency Neurotomy and Neurostimulation, may be required.
